David Smith specialises in providing an end-to-end service for large one-off commercial or public sector developments, designing, manufacturing and erecting trusses. Pre-fabricated truss solutions ensure the quickest and most efficient installation technique, keeping labour costs to a minimum. As an option, we will take total responsibility for installing the trusses and offer full project
management through to successful completion.

We also offer a Design Feasibility Service, working directly with architects or developers at the concept stage of a project.

Here we can advise on the optimum truss solution for the proposed structure and its particular use, or assess whether a provisional roof design is feasible. We will also recommend the best approach for installation and are
available for technical support as required.

We use our expertise to help many clients make cost-savings where possible, or solve design problems and tackle common challenges in the construction of trussed rafter roofs. We are happy to demonstrate our knowledge in these cases with the presentation of 3D ‘virtual’ site tours to explain how we approach specific issues.

David Smith is a founder member of the Truss Rafter Association (TRA) and our trusses are designed and manufactured in accordance with current industry standards. Roof structures are designed to BS5268 and meet ISO 9001:2000 quality assurance.
